Barfi (Mishti Cheera)
- Pressed rice … 25g.
- Roasted groundnuts … 20g.
- Jaggery … 25g.
- Roast the pressed rice and mix with groundnuts.
- Prepare a sticky syrup from jaggery.
- Add the beaten rice and nuts, and mix quickly.
- Spread the above on a greased plate and cut into pieces immediately.
- This recipe is extensively used in the special nutrition programme in Andhra Pradesh.
